How to Change Layouts in PowerPoint, PowerPoint templates have multiple layouts placed on slides. Layout is the foundation of what makes up the shape of a given slide. These can be text boxes, folders, backgrounds, icons, etc.
Slides are used to build presentations. You can enter blanks or choose from different layouts. These layouts can be edited on any slide in your presentation, and you can apply them to any new slide you create.
